Maple is owned by Stewart Cumming and Linda Hewat of Qannik Kennels in Gisborne, Victoria.

Maple has exceeded all expectations in both the working activities and in the showring, achieving her Australian Champion title within just 11 weeks of showing and over 7 challenge point wins.

The majority of Maple's wins have been Best of Breed awards from large entries under Group 6 breed Judges, and have included multiple Class in Group, Runner Up in Group and Best in Group wins.

More recently Maple was awarded Best Intermediate In Show at the AMCNSW 2005 Championship Show under US Breed Specialist, Wendy Willhauck.

Maple has also made some major achievements in the field of sledding, gaining her Working Team Dog title and being only the second Malamute to achieve the AMCV Working Lead Dog title.
